On September 8, 2025, a delegation from the China Petroleum Institute Standards Committee (CPSI) and the American Petroleum Institute (API) visited Neway. The purpose of this inspection and exchange is to enhance CPSI and API's understanding of China's oil and gas equipment manufacturing industry, deepen standardization cooperation between China and the United States in the oil and gas industry, and promote the green and low-carbon transformation of the petroleum equipment manufacturing industry.
CPSI Secretary General Zhang Yu, API Senior Vice President Anchal Lidar, API Global Business Development Director Alejandro Di Nunzio, API Global Low Carbon Development Strategy Senior Manager Jordan Strickler, and API China Representative Chief Representative Gao Jie attended the event.
At the seminar, the management of Neway introduced the basic situation of the company, demonstrated its comprehensive strength in oil and gas equipment research and development, production, and sales, and put forward many constructive opinions and suggestions to CPSI and API from the perspective of manufacturers. Subsequently, the three parties engaged in in-depth and productive exchanges on the application practices and latest changes of API standards related to oil and gas equipment, providing new ideas and directions for cooperation in the field of standardization among the three parties.
After the meeting, the delegation was invited to visit Neway's production base, quality inspection center, and research and development center. Under the guidance of the staff, the delegation conducted an on-site inspection of Neway Petroleum Equipment. Neway Petroleum Equipment's enterprise management and technical strength left a deep impression on everyone and received unanimous recognition from the delegation.
This visit greatly deepened CPSI and API's understanding of China's equipment manufacturing industry. The three parties unanimously agreed that strengthening cooperation in the field of standardization is crucial in the context of the rapid development of the global oil and gas industry. Through regular communication, industry development trends can be shared in a timely manner, and information sharing can be maintained on industry development trends and the application of new technologies such as AI, to jointly address the challenges faced by the industry.
